A car is among the pieces of broken homes and other debris that was swept inland by the tsunami that followed the March 11 magnitude 9 quake in Minami Sanriku Town, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan on 13 March, 2011. Some 10,000 people out of the coastal town's population of  17,666 are reported as missing  following the 10-meter-high wave that struck the village.. Photographer: Robert Gilhooly
