Photo shows a section of the 3-km-long conveyor belt used to transport rubble being used in a rebuilding project in Rikuzentakata, Iwate Prefecture, Japan. Atlas Copco drill rigs are a key feature of the project, which shifts blasted rubble from a nearby hillside to the central part of the city via the conveyor belt. Rikuzentakata was flattened by the 2011 tsunami and the transported rubble is being used to raise the land 10 meters. Rob Gilhooly Photo
