A fisherman tows away what appears to be pilot whales, which are members of the dolphin family, at a cove in Taiji, Japan on 10 September 2009. Sept. 10 marked the first catch of the season, and around 150 dolphins were brought into the cove. A total of around 20,000 dolphins will be killed throughout Japan during the six-month season, according to Japan Fisheries Agency.<br />
